Case Shiller Home Prices Still In Double Digit Growth Territory Despite Winter Slowdown

Portland home prices mirrored a national index in January, posting a 13.2 percent gain from a year ago.While prices dropped slightly compared to December, the overall pace of home price gains remained relatively torrid, according to the S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Indices released Tuesday.All 20 cities in the broader 20-city index posted healthy year-over-year gains with Las Vegas and San Francisco leading the pack at 24.9 percent and 23.1 percent, respectively.
