Oregon Home Price Increases Among Nations Largest In January

Oregon posted some of the largest home-price increases in the country in January, CoreLogicsaid.

The Irvine, Calif., real estate data provider said that prices in Oregon were up 14.3 percent from a year ago. Prices rose at a faster rate only in California and Nevada.

In the Portland area, prices were up 15.6 percent in January from a year earlier. Nationally, home prices were up 0.9 percent in January compared with December and 12 percent from a year ago."
The last time January month-over-month and year-over-year price appreciation was this strong was at the height of the housing bubble in 2006," said Mark Fleming, CoreLogic's chief economist. Read More Here...
