Based on a new compilation of review data from Yelp, PDX Sliders landed in the No. 1 spot on its list of the top 40 food carts in Portland. The truck, which serves up beef, pork, chicken and veggie sliders is at 8064 S.E. 17th St. in the Sellwood-Moreland area.

The restaurant review site Yelp now claims to have the answer.

For the first time, Yelp has compiled a list of the top 40 food carts in Portland. Researchers with the company ranked local, non-chain businesses categorized as food trucks, food stands or street vendors on Yelp in Portland based on the number of reviews and their star rating.

A smattering of those who made the top 40 cut: Chicken and Guns, Tiffin Asha, Hurry Back Ice Cream and A Wing and a Prayer.

"With a top-10 that includes Iranian kabobs, Mexican tortas and Chinese chicken wings, it’s clear that Portland’s food carts represent the rich culinary traditions that make our city so famous," said Matthew Eyman, senior community manager for Yelp, in a post about the list.
